About me

This sensitive chap is Gizmo.

We’re looking for understanding and supportive owners that ideally have experience with rescue dogs as Gizmo is going to need a little help to settle back into pet life.

The biggest thing that Gizmo struggles with is being left alone, so there will need to be multiple people in his new home to keep him company whilst he settles and help him to learn how to be home alone – or better yet never have to experience being on his own! He needs confidence building when out on walks, however inside, he is a bouncy, playful and cuddly boy who loves to be in your arms having fuss.

We’ve found that Gizmo loves nothing more than routine as this helps him feel more confident, se we take him for walks, feed him, play with him, and spend time with him at the same time each day. The team here at the centre can advise on the best ways to set Gizmo and his new owners up for success.

When out and about Gizmo prefers to avoid other dogs, however with time, patience and suitable calm dogs he can build up to making friends as he has done here at the centre. In his new home though, he will need to be the only pet as he will likely chase cats and isn’t suitable to live with other dogs as he will need to be the main focus for his owners. He would be best suited to live with adults and teenagers who can appreciate that underneath this worried exterior there is a super loving and cuddly dog just waiting to come out.
