Hello, I'm Mickey

I'm a 23-year-old Warmblood / Hunter from Burford rehoming centre and I'm looking for my forever home. Please read my profile below to find out more.

About me

- Based on our Home Direct scheme with current owner in Dorset -

Mickey is a gentle, affectionate gelding with a wonderfully soft presence, the kind of horse who quietly wins your heart just by being near you. He loves human interaction and thrives on calm, steady handling, making him a joy to care for day to day.

He’s easy to catch, polite to lead, patient for grooming, and relaxed for both the vet and farrier — a true gentleman in every sense. Mickey has spent his life being a kind and willing partner, and now that he’s retired from ridden work, he’s looking for a peaceful home where he can live out as much as possible with one friendly companion or a small, settled herd. He enjoys attention, is used to children and dogs, and would be a perfect match for someone wanting a sweet, reliable field companion who brings warmth and calm to the yard.

Included in my care

  • I've been vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and neutered as required
  • Examined by a vet and treated if needed
  • Assessed by an experienced member of our team
  • Given an individual profile to help match me with my new owner
