Thanks for clicking on my profile. I have now been matched with a loving family and I’m looking forward to settling in at my new home. However, many of my friends still need adopting.
About me
Please meet River, she is looking for a very specific home. She will be a big project for any new owner.
Her new owners will need to be patient, supportive, and understanding as this little lady has been through a lot and has been in our care for over 200 days! She finds the home life and the world overwhelming at times, so whilst she settles in at home River will need to have a puppy pen to settle into which the team can talk more about.
She is making progress with housetraining, but it is likely that she’ll have an accident or two whilst she gets used to her new home. River could live with children aged 12 and over who are able to understand that she might take some time to make friends with them.
She needs to be the only pet in her new home as she is vocal and underconfident with dogs and doesn’t desire to have any interactions with them, and she may chase cats. So her new owners will need to continue to help her avoid dogs in the future and have low expectations of her meeting dogs.
River is looking for new owners who are around for the majority of the day to help her learn how to spend time on her own after she has settled in.
